Great experience and a successful trip. Nice rods and reels. They worked hard to get us on fish. It really felt like we were in the boat fishing with friends back home. Lots of fun banter back and forth. We will book with them again when we are back in the area.

Five Stars: A Top-Notch Redemption Trip! We had an absolutely fantastic experience fishing with Captain Abby and Allen at Texas Legend Charters out of Freeport. They really saved the day for us by helping us find fish quickly, even with a super low tide and windy conditions. It was a perfect redemption trip compared to a previous outing we’d had with another charter. These guys are truly top-notch, super knowledgeable, and we’ll definitely be going back. It was just my son n law and me and among the reel ins were some beautiful keepers to include a 26” Redfish that will bring mouth waterers to our dinner table! Booked a guided Bay Fishing trip with Capt Abby and Deckhand Justin Cunningham. Both were very attentive to my 85 year old dad and 12 year old Grandson. Captain Abby and Shyanne took two moms and two 12-year-old sons for a morning of fishing and great memories. She warned us that the full moon may mean the fish weren’t biting, but her expertise with bait and fishing spots helped us catch a school of fish. Abby and Shyanne did more than bring the rods, bait and boat, they shared their skills, knowledge and love of the sport. Abby and Shyanne were very helpful, but stood back so that we felt like the catch was our own. They are friendly and funny and it felt more like fishing with buddies. If you’re going to book with Texas Legend Charters, go ahead and buy that oversized tag. My son caught a 30 inch red. We reeled them in all morning long and had seven keepers. They cleaned them up really nicely and divided the meat into three bags - one for each of us to take home and a third to take to a cook-your-catch that night at a local grill.

Quick 4 hour trip around Freeport and Surfside. Abby put us on Speckled Trout, Sand Trout, Redfish, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, and Black Drum! Not all keepers.. but we were catching and having a good time. I kinda wish we had booked longer.

We had the best time! We spent 5 hours out on the water/fishing! The boat was very clean and well maintained (looked brand new). Captain Abby and Shyanne made us feel at home on the boat. They helped with everything we could ever need! They baited hooks, removed fish from the hooks, let us pose with our catches. They were the best hype girls too! They cheered for every fish caught for the entire trip... and we caught a LOT! They took us to multiple areas to catch different kinds of fish and there was never a dull moment! We even got to see several dolphins! It was such a relaxing trip for our little family of 3. Our son is 10 years old and just recently took up fishing and he had the best time! They let him use a bait that didn't have to be replaced after ever catch or cast which made him able to fish faster. He easily caught twice as much as me and my husband (and we caught a lot). They were patient with our son and his occasional tangles. When we were done they cleaned and fileted our fish and bagged them up so we could take them home. They even recommended some local restaurants where we could get the fish cooked. We would highly recommend them for anyone wanting to take a fishing charter! We will definitely book with them again!!! ❤️🎣

Captain Abby & first mate Shyanne (definitely cheer her on after everything, it was her 2nd day training & she did great, yay!) were incredibly sweet, patient, hilarious, memorable moment for my friends & I. We had the most unforgettable time on our dolphin tour!

Went out with the men of our family and had a great time! We had to take two boats to accommodate the size of our group, but that did not cause any problems other than confusion on our part to sign the corresponding form for the boat we would be on. We went on a morning trip to avoid the heat and have the rest of our day to do other things. Captains, Allen and Abby were ready to go and had everything we would need for the duration of our trip. Allen is very knowledgeable of the area as he grew up in the area fishing the same waters. He will teach you a variety of different techniques from preparation to pulling in the catch. He helps to keep the pace of the day going both with his conversation and ensuring that you are in the right place to catch as much fish as possible. Our other group had nothing but great things to say about their experience with Abby. You can make your trip a competition with two boats out. They will pull the fish off your line and even bait your hook for you, but do yourself and the Captains a favor and bait your own hook, this will save time and keep everyone fishing. Have a fishing license, either digital or hardcopy. It's your time slot. If you are late, you are just wasting the time you have on the boat fishing.... don't waste it! They will clean the fish for you, so bring a cooler to bring your catch home. There is a bar and grill on location, so you have place to enjoy a beverage or meal with your group after your trip. You may see dolphins while you are fishing. You are fishing in the bay, so waters are not rough. This trip is definitely great for kids of all ages, as I plan to use Texas Legend again for my family in the future. Will use again and highly recommend.

Captain Allen took us out and put us on fish for all four hours. I brought in a 33” Red Drum and I can’t fish worth anything on my own. Excellent charter!
